About IntuBio

IntuBio ApS was founded in 2018 by Niels Agersnap and Tom Olesen. The name IntuBio is a contraction of the Latin word intueor (meaning to look at) and bio (Greek for life), describing the optical principles we use to observe microorganisms.

Combining Optics & Microbiology

Niels Agersnap has a background as a system architect, optical and algorithm specialist at Unisensor/Philips BioCell, and Tom Olesen is the founder of Unisensor and CTO in Unisensor and Philips BG Emerging Businesses. Together, they have more than 20 years of experience in optical scanning technology applied in the field of cell detection. Philip joined the company in October 2018. With a background in applied microbiology, Philip contributes the deep biological knowledge base that is the foundation of our solutions.

Niels Agersnap

Co-founder and CTO

Ph.D. in physics from University of Copenhagen. Niels has an extensive background as a system architect, optical, and algorithm specialist at Unisensor/Philips BioCell.

Philip Andersen

CSO

M.Sc. in microbiology from University of Copenhagen. Philip joined the company in October 2018. With a background in applied microbiology, Philip contributes the deep biological knowledge base that is the foundation of our solutions.

Tom Olesen

Founder and Chairman

Founder of Unisensor and serial entrepreneur. Tom was the CTO of Unisensor and Philips BG Emerging Businesses, with more than 20 years of experience in optical scanning technology applied to cell detection.

Isha Kapoor

Digital Marketing & Sales Coordinator

Double Masters in Information Technology and Business Administration. Isha coordinates our global digital presence, outreach, and sales pipeline.

Vasilis Perros

Application Scientist

Masters in Pharmaceutical Design and Engineering. Vasilis designs and executes application-specific validation studies, helping clients integrate IntuGrow into their workflows.

Martin Bech

Mechanical Designer

Specializes in mechanical engineering and product design. Martin is responsible for the robust, compact, and ergonomic physical design of the IntuGrow scanner and mini-incubator.

Henrik Lauritzen

Software Engineer

Henrik develops the high-performance image processing algorithms and intuitive user interface of the IntuGrow software, ensuring 21 CFR Part 11 compliance.

Maria Nouvel Buch-Jakobsen

Economy and HR

Maria manages financial operations, human resources, and administrative compliance, keeping our growing organization running smoothly.

We are located in Farum

IntuBio is located in Farum, 20 km from Copenhagen. As a part of the innovation hub at Hirsemarken, we have access to many different competences and can combine our expertise with great mechanical engineers and designers as well as software developers to quickly implement new solutions.
